Dog agility always presents an interesting show of passion and devotion, both from the handler and from the canine. I also love to assist with portraits for anything from equine to feline. Growing up I spent more time horseback than anywhere else. My life revolved around horse shows, 4-H events, lessons, training and trail rides. I always enjoyed taking pictures of my own pets, horses, children and friends, and I have let many of my hobbies grow into a combined professional venture. In equine or horse photography it is important that the photographer has an understanding of the sport and the animals to convey their emotions through photography. As a rider and horse show exhibitor I know what images I want of myself, my horses and my kids and try to get the shots I would want to hang on my wall.
South Carolina has some excellent opportunities for equine events such as jumping, hunter, gaited, dressage, eventing, western pleasure, reining, barrel racing and halter or confirmation classes. I enjoy shooting all these events. Based out of Mt. Pleasant SC, We are conveniently located 20 minutes from John’s Island or Awendaw. Additionally, Reevesville, St George, Summerville or Moncks Corner are all just a short commute.
Some of my favorite sessions are sale and promotional pictures. I started in equine photography helping others promote their horses in order to find them new owners that could appreciate what they have to offer and understand their value.
